Hope everyone is having a great summer!

As we approach autumn, I just want to update you all on what is going on in the world of Badmintology:

1. BV Drop-In Program – (Monday 8 – 10pm @ Yumo)

Starting Sept 20^th, we are booking courts at Yumo and opening them to YOU. This is a great opportunity for everyone to come out and play the people you see at the tournaments on a friendly basis. We will start with 2 courts for 2 hours, limiting to 14 people. If the interest is high enough, we can look into opening more courts. We are still deciding on the sign up system, but if you are interested, please contact us via email or facebook to reserve your spot! The cost should be $5, players are to bring their own birds. Everyone is welcome, not just tournament participants. Further details will be provided once confirmed.

2. BV Go Kart Challenge - (Oct 2 (Saturday) @ TBC Indoor Go Kart)

Seeing a bunch of us bought the Go Kart promotion at Groupon, I figure we can pick a date and all go together. Afterall, it is far more fun to race with people you know! Extending this to BV so we can take the whole track to ourselves. What do you say?  If you didn't buy the Go Kart coupons already, you are still welcome to join us! Everyone welcome! =)

3. Design the BV tournament shirt for WW Open (November)

As mentioned before, you can submit a design for our third tournament of the season – the WW Open! Create a badminton related design/theme, employing the use of Baddi and Boomer to your liking, and pick a T-shirt color. Bonus points if you can come up with the tournament name (W__ W__ Open being your guidelines). All entries will be shown on our FB page if the owner permits, and we will pick the winner by November and use it as our tournament T shirt.

4. Apologies for our Smash Fantastic T-shirts!

Due to factory defect, some of you may be aware that the printing on our SF Open T shirt (the orange one) comes off after a few washes. We recognize this problem and are offering a new replacement shirt as a result. Simply bring your shirt to Yumo or one of the execs, or at our next tournament, and we’ll exchange a new one as soon as the product comes in. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience!

Hello everybody, so we noticed that the printing was wearing off on our last Smash Fantastic Tee after putting it in the wash, so we spoke with our supplier and they are willing to do exchanges because its a defect! So if you would like your shirt exchanged, please bring them to Yumo and we will gladly exchange a new shirt for you. Thanks again for your continuous support and we'll make sure to keep bringing you guys awesome new shirts!

We've also gotten a few questions on when the next tourney will be. We are still finalizing the dates and venue but we will  update you as soon as we nail down the details. It will be on the 3rd or 4th weekend of September. See you all at our next tourney!

On Saturday, August 14th, ClearOne will be opening their third location, ClearOne Poco, at 1525 Broadway Street, POCO (Port Coquitlam).

The Centre is just seven minutes from the Coquitlam City Centre and will offer all the services that ClearTwo currently offers, including group and private lessons, drop-ins, court rentals, camps and events.  Courts are open for free play all day on August 14th, with drop in sessions from 10am-5pm and free court bookings from 5pm-10pm. Aside from free baddy, ClearOne Poco will also be hosting a Grand Opening Tournament on the weekend of September 10-12th. You will be able to register at their website once more information is out! Cheers!
