The Senior BC Provincials will be held on June 11-13th at Hollyburn Country Club in West Vancouver, BC. Organized by Arak Bhokanandh, the tournament is offering an attractive prize purse of $2000 and unlimited RSL birdies. Also, the more players participating, the bigger the prize purse will be. For those of you who are competitive and actively looking for new challenges on court, here's your chance to play against the top players in BC!

Yonex Canada Open

July 14 – 18, 2010. Richmond Oval

Recruiting Volunteers!

The Canada Open is a Grand Prix event similar to the German Open. It is a high level caliber tournament rated very prestigiously to world class players as they vie for 2012 Olympic qualification points similar to the Super Series tournaments. (Like the All England). Over 200 International players are expected to attend. 400 volunteer shifts will be required to stage this international event. Volunteers are needed in following areas:

• Security-Ensure only authorized ticket holders will be allowed into the venue-age 18 or over
• Parking attendants-Age 18 or over
• Tickets takers-remove ticket stubs as spectators entered into the venue-16 or over
• Linesman-6 linesman per court -15 or over
• Court sweeper/score chart operators-clean court between games.-15 or over
• Volunteer hospitality-work at the volunteer check in area- 18 or over

Each volunteer will receive:

• T-shirt to be worn while on duty
• Lanyard with ID tag-sponsored by LMBA
• Food and drink during your shift
• Free parking at the Oval
• One free court rental at ClearOne Badminton Centre during off hours
• Training
• Free admission to event on Wed July 14, or Thurs July 15,
• Invitation to the volunteers gathering event
• Eligible for a draw prize each day during the tournament-Track jackets donated by SE Sports.

The shift requirements for the Canadian open are as follows:

• 14-Jul Wed First round 9am to 3pm; 3pm to 9pm
• 15-Jul Thurs Second round 9am to 3pm; 3pm to 9pm
• 16-Jul Fri QF 3pm to 9pm
• 17-Jul Sat SF 3pm to 9pm
• 18-Jul Sun Final 10am to 4pm
