Twelve teams entered the 1st annual Journey of the Legends Team Championship held at Cambie on May 22-23, 2010 to fight for ultimate team supremacy and bragging rights. In the end, Team Beyond came out on top over Team Baddiholics with a team score of 3-2 with the deciding match falling on the shoulders of Captain Malisa Leung for Team Beyond and her partner Peter Nguyen against Captain Wilson Wong of BDHL and his partner Karen Tse.

Summary of Rules for the JL Team Championship
1. All players must play a minimum of two matches throughout the whole tournament. This will be checked before the final match. If this requirement is not met, the equivalent amount of matches will be forfeited.
2. Players are allowed to play 2 categories per team match; however they must not be the same category. I.e. Cannot play two Mix Doubles (With the exception of Team TMA)
3. All matches are played best of 3 sets, 21 rally points. Please keep accurate scoring in the event of a tie.
4. Mixed team A must be the stronger mixed doubles team. Common sense prevails.
Tie-Breaker Rules
In the event of a tie for the teams in the pool, this is the order in which the tie breaker rule come in effect:
1. The team with the most team matches won.
2. Head to head match-up (If only two teams are tied)
3. The team with the most sets won.
4. The team with the most points won.
5. Decided by a coin toss.

There is only 2 days left till our year end Journey of the Legends Team Championships! This year we've got a total of 12 teams fighting for the top spot in the league. There will also be prizes for Best Team Logo and Best Team Name, so if your team hasn't submitted a logo yet, remember to do so asap! Looking forward to seeing you all this weekend.

Journey of the Legends Team Championship
The Journey of the Legends Team Championship is coming up on May 22-23rd at Cambie Secondary School! This is where the top 16 teams of the season comes together and fight for the glory and pride of their team. Check out our Team Profiles page for all the awesome team logos and rosters.
Everyone is also invited to come and join us as we celebrate Badmintology one year anniversary at our banquet held at the tournament venue, Cambie Secondary School, on the night of May 22nd. There will be prizes for Best Team Uniform, Best Team Logo, as well as many draw prizes for everyone!
